Western culture has caused us to cringe at the idea that we as melanated peoples were created with a superior design. We have been brutalized into believing we are inferior because we were colonized, enslaved, killed off etc. But when they enslaved us we built their homes, cultivated their crops, and wet-nursed their babies. When they invaded our lands they found us with books, calendars, medicine, and stories about the beginning of time. From the science of our skin to our hair and cultures, there is nothing to be ashamed of. The time is now to disassociate from every idea in this culture that institutes the concepts of our being lesser. We must stop participating in agendas that condition and program us into attitudes and lifestyles that act out anything beneath then excellence—and superiority— of our design…”because of the blood that flows through our veins.” If those words choke in your throat, check your environment, reread your history, learn the science of your melanin.
