TTW: Posting Revelations, Etc.
Your thoughts belong to you first. This unhealthy think-and-post relationship is costing us something we may not realize until it’s too late. I feel we are being stolen from under the guise of an invitation to “share.” Historically speaking, our thoughts have been sought after for the songs they sing, the inventions they conceptualize, the cultures they create, the revolutions they galvanize, etc. Now we are voluntarily publicizing them—our poems, ideas, and unprocessed concepts—and who is seeing them before we have fully realized their strength? Before we learn what they mean first to ourselves?
There is nothing worse than giving parts of yourself away before understanding your full self or the motive behind what has come to you and the reason you should sit with it, ruminate, and take discerned action. There is nothing worse than not knowing you are being stolen from because you don’t value your revelations. Because you “forget”. We have to get our thoughts together. There are things buried within us like raw diamonds that we must ruminate from raw to refined within the privacy of our souls and journeys. Too many voices will cost us our timing, impact. Too many likes may cause us to fall in love with the dirt surrounding our gems instead of the precious stones themselves.
What belongs to you? Discern it. Understand it. Walk in it.
I am speaking to myself.
