A Mental Factory

April 22, 2016–You ever feel that hesitation to write exactly what's on your mind? This is why it's difficult for many to finish a journal: their words go through a mental factory of fear before making it to the page. And by that time, the words aren't as powerful, not speaking for sake of future reference but the moment's ego to protect yourself from being ashamed of your expression of humanity.

Say it verbatim. Why are you crying? What's next? Why are you afraid? Are you really growing? What's significant now? Some things can't be authentic if they're over-edited by fear of your own feelings.
