We Do Write Ourselves: Rae on the Train

Originally posted Oct. 24, 2017–

It always gives me a zing of joy when I’m out and about and see a teastained woman writing—you have no idea the pride and eudaemonia I feel! Today on the A Train after talking myself into stop looking like a stalker and to walk across the car and share my joy, Rae was gracious to let me semi-creep photograph her. She was actually prepping for an interview analog-style, but she told me she has kept a journal for years.

It’s been SO LONG since I’ve seen this refreshing sight. How encouraging. How inspiring. How necessary. Keep writing your lives, teastained women. It’s so important.
